PLOT
College student Yuuya Nomoto discovers his pals brutally slain by Hitomi Uzaki, the high school girl they sought to capture, after unintentionally taking part in a kidnapping. He discovers himself being bet as the reward for a death fight between two Therianthropes, superpowered human-animal hybrids made through cutting-edge gene therapy, after being forced to transport her to an undisclosed location. Hitomi, one of these hybrids, uses her ratel genes' increased speed and bravery to mercilessly murder her adversary and save Yuuya from certain death. Yuuya discovers that he has become involved in a covert proxy battle between four major Japanese business giants, with the winner controlling the economy, after waking up many hours later believing the entire experience was just a nightmare. His existence is now inextricably bound to Hitomi's capacity to take part in clandestine bloodsport matches known only as Killing Bites as her single, albeit unwilling, investor.
