PLOT
Young monster Luo Xiaohei typically appears as a little black cat. He used to roam freely in the forests, but over time, human development and deforestation forced him to leave and seek refuge elsewhere. The black cat, who is struggling to survive on city streets, meets Feng Xi, a fellow monster who brings Xiaohei to a remote island where only a few monsters live. Xiaohei stays with the monsters for only a short while until Wuxian, a human Guild Executor on the island looking for Feng Xi, arrives, excited to find what he believes to be his new home. Xiaohei and Wuxian are left alone after Feng Xi and his friends are able to teleport away from the island. Wuxian coerces the black cat into accompanying him to the Guild despite Xiaohei's refusal to help the attacker of his friends. As he sets off on an uncertain trip, Xiaohei learns a new perspective on how people and monsters interact in a world that is changing quickly.
