PLOT
Chika Takami, a self-described "regular" girl, has never participated in any clubs and has no distinguishing skills. After a trip to Tokyo, she learns that the world of school idols is a platform where even a regular girl like her may shine. Chika is keen to launch her own school idol club at Uranohoshi Girl's High School in her seaside hometown after being inspired by the previous supergroup's. The student council president Dia Kurosawa, who is adamantly opposed to the founding of the club, proves to be the aspirant school idol's toughest hurdle even before she can persuade any pupils to join the group. At a time when all hope seems lost, Chika meets Otonokizaka High School transfer student Riko Sakurauchi. She is a skilled pianist who is a little shy, and Chika thinks she would make a good recruit—but getting her to sign up is harder said than done. Despite this, Chika makes the decision to press on and get through the challenges standing in her way of creating a school idol group that shines as brightly as the nine that came before her.
