PLOT
Ryouma Takebayashi, a young child, lives in the forest, distant from any human habitation. He has a somewhat peculiar pastime where he keeps different kinds of slimes as pets. He also has a strong body and good compatibility with magic despite his youth. All of this is due to the fact that three gods grant Ryouma a second chance to pursue his single objective of appreciating life's wonders despite the difficulties he had in his previous existence. After three years of contented isolation, Ryouma encounters individuals that alter the course of his current existence. He comes into other soldiers who are tending to a wounded comrade, and the group persuades him to go with them to see the ducal family in the adjacent town. Ryouma accepts and immediately sets off on a mission to discover the huge world outside of his village.
