PLOT
Suzuko Homura, who had to relocate owing to family obligations, goes back to her birthplace filled with fond memories of the happy youth she spent there with Chinatsu Morikawa. Those times were permanently marked with a friendship commitment, and while Suzuko still treasures her memories of them, she has lost touch with Chinatsu over the years. Suzuko tries to put the past behind her and establish new acquaintances at school because she is ready to start again, but she finds it difficult to do so. As Chinatsu pursues her education while working numerous shifts to support her family, the pressure to live up to expectations quickly becomes intolerable. In the midst of their individual problems, both ladies start playing the well-known card game WIXOSS and learn that they have been selected as Selectors—players whose memories are now represented by gold coins and who must compete with other Selectors in order to acquire five of them. The two are led by their LRIG avatar cards, which are made from the user's memories, and they learn that sparring inconsistently or losing all of their coins will have a bad outcome. Suzuko and Chinatsu prepare for the fights that lie ahead and struggle for the chance to reclaim themselves, determined to defend what they value most.
