PLOT
Twelve of the fiercest warriors with the names and characteristics of the Chinese zodiac animals are pitted against one another in the twelfth Zodiac Tournament, which occurs every twelve years in a metropolis of half a million inhabitants who have all been gone. In this version, each warrior is instructed to consume one of the twelve Beast Gems (Juseki), which are crystallized poison jewels that will murder them all in twelve hours. The winner must obtain all of the crystals from the other eleven participants before the deadline in order to receive one wish of their choosing (midnight, December 12). It turns into a brutal conflict where surviving at all costs is essential.
