PLOT
The Royal Order of Protestant Knights, originally led by Abraham Van Helsing, is the subject of Hellsing, which bears its name. Hellsing's goal is to track down and eliminate the supernatural evil entities that threaten the monarch and the nation, such as the undead and other supernatural forces of evil. Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, who assumed control of Hellsing as an adult after her father's passing, is the organization's current head. She saw him die, which transformed her from an innocent, timid young girl into a tough, murderous force. Alucard, the first and most potent vampire, who vowed fealty to the Hellsing family after being vanquished by Van Helsing one hundred years prior to the story's setting, as well as the devoted Hellsing family butler Walter C. Dornez, who is a terrible foe in his own right, guard her. Early in the narrative, former police officer Seras Victoria—whom Alucard transformed into a vampire—joins these fearsome guardians.
