PLOT
The narrative follows Junpei Manaka, a student and aspiring film director, throughout his academic career as well as his interactions with the various women who cross his path. He initially runs into a mystery and stunning female on the roof of his middle school and is only able to recall that she was wearing strawberry-patterned underwear. She leaves before he can speak to her, but he discovers an Aya Toujou notepad nearby (an ordinary-looking glasses-wearing girl who is a gifted writer). The two become friends and share a desire to see great stories made into movies. He made an unexpected date request while performing a pull-up at the chin-up bar, thinking that Tsukasa Nishino, the most popular girl in his school, would be the mystery girl. He was shocked when she accepted. Later, he finds Tsukasa is not the mysterious female, but he still dates her. He is accepted into Izumizaka High but finds out that the mysterious girl is Aya, who turned down a scholarship to the elite Oumi Academy to enroll with him.
