PLOT
A young girl named Haruka Haruno had a goal of becoming a princess like those in fairy tales eight years prior. However, because of her dream, she is consistently ridiculed by her kindergarten classmates. Later, a boy named Kanata came into her life and offered her an unusual charm in exchange for her resolving never to give up on her dreams. Eight years later, at the age of 13, Haruka is still devoted to her ambitions of becoming a princess like the ones in her picture books and joins the boarding school Noble Academy. One day, she came upon Pafu and Aroma, two faeries from the Hope Kingdom, who were being pursued by a strange man by the name of Close. The fairies informed her that he is an agent of Dys Dark, an organization headed by the witch Dyspear who seeks to destroy hope by imprisoning dreams in the Gate of Despair. Haruka had no other option, so the fairies gave her a Princess Perfume and the charm she possessed turned out to be a key, making her one of the Hope Kingdom's chosen warriors: Cure Flora, a Pretty Cure to battle Dys Dark. Haruka creates the Princess Pretty Cure Team with Minami Kaido, Kirara Amanogawa, and Towa Akagi later joining her as Cure Mermaid, Cure Twinkle, and Cure Scarlet to collect the Dress Up Keys required to open the Gate of Dreams while defending people's dreams against Dys Dark's armies.
