PLOT
In the rural area of Japan, Mikan Sakura grew up beside her grandfather. Mikan transfers with her best friend Hotaru Imai to a famous school in Tokyo. The institution is actually a prestigious Academy for talented individuals with "Alices," a talent that varies based on the student. When Mikan arrives at the school's gates, she runs into an Alice teacher named Narumi, enrolls as a result of a chain of events, and learns that she has a unique Alice. Despite her initial impression of the alleged brilliance of the institution, Mikan gradually realizes that there is a never-ending stream of lies and hidden truths beneath the Academy's imposing exterior. It's risky to be at school because of how deceitful and nefarious they've become toward her. Mikan has no idea that joining Alice Academy started a chain of events that led to a much worse disaster. She uncovers her family history and how it relates to the academy as she learns the truth about the "Alices" in real life. She learns how important friendship is to her and how it leads her to her destiny as the mystery surrounding the academy pulls her into an unending pit of suffering and a series of survival tasks.
