PLOT
The Digital Universe, a parallel online world where animals known as Digimon roam, experiences devastating events in the year 2020, which lead to a series of cyber-attacks in Tokyo. A young boy named Taichi "Tai" Kamiya is sent to the internet where he encounters Agumon as they are being besieged by a horde of Argomon. As Omnimon, they team up with Yamato "Matt" Ishida and his partner Gabumon to destroy the Mega Argomon. Tai, Matt, Sora Takenouchi, Koshiro "Izzy" Izumi, Mimi Tachikawa, and Joe Kido are transported to the Digital World while getting ready for summer camp. There, they pick up Digivices and Digimon partners and discover that they have been chosen to thwart the evil Dark Digimon army that is attacking both the Network and the Digital World. They are drawn into a fictitious Tokyo dimension where they are attacked by Eyesmon, another foe. Before the countdown to obliterate the real Tokyo in the Real World begins, Omnimon is able to defeat Nidhoggmon (Eyesmon's Mega form).
