DEVILMAN crybaby

Akira Fudo, a high school student, resides with Miki Makimura, her brother Taro, her parents Noel and Akiko, and his only friend and longstanding crush. When Akira tries to protect Miki from a group led by the rapper Wamu, Ryo Asuka, a childhood buddy, comes to his aid. Akira is informed by Ryo that although his recent mission to the Amazon rainforest confirmed the presence of demons, this information is being repressed by governments around the globe. Ryo takes Akira to an underground nightclub where he strikes the attendees with a shattered bottle in an attempt to reveal the demons. While Ryo is filming the demons mutilating the humans, one of the demons attacks and pins him. Amon, a strong demon who seeks to possess Akira, is defeated by Akira's will, turning him into Amon's demonic form and enabling him to slay the demons. Along with Kaim, Silene, Amon's lover, and Jinmen, the sadistic demon who killed Akira's parents, Ryo and Akira battle a number of demons. Due to Ryo's strenuous measures to keep Akira's truth hidden, their friendship gradually deteriorates. Eventually, Ryo confesses on television that Moyuru Koda, a track star, is a demon. The discovery of demons causes a worldwide fear that causes humanity to turn against one another as the demons start possessing people in vast numbers. In an effort to track down additional Devilmen, Akira, Koda, and fellow Devilman Miki "Miko" Kuroda are disgusted by Ryo's indifference to the mayhem he has sparked. As anarchy envelops Tokyo, Miki's family is killed by the police and buried outside the city by Akira.
