PLOT
Yoichi Karasuma has spent the last 17 years learning martial arts from his father in the mountains, but now that he is reaching the end of his teachings, he is told to continue his training in the city with the Ikaruga family in order to fortify his spirit (but really because Yoichi has become stronger and far more skilled than him). Ibuki Ikaruga, the current assistant head of the city's Ukiha Divine Wind Style Swordplay martial arts school, and her siblings eventually come to accept Yoichi as a freeloader at their dojo. Along with dealing with marital issues, Yoichi also has to cope with the envy of the neighborhood bad guy Washizu toward Ibuki and Yoichi's alleged connection, his academic life, and multiple attempts by rival martial arts organizations to murder him or destroy the Ikaruga dojo.
