PLOT

Sinbad is a little child and the son of a well-known Baghdadi businessman. Sinbad particularly enjoys listening to his uncle Ali's tales of misadventure because Ali has brought Shera, a strange talking bird, back with him from his travels. Sinbad joins his uncle in the hopes of taking part in his next journey. The boat is attacked by a huge whale, and Sinbad is forced to land on a desolate island. Sinbad starts the journey alone with only Shera for company after being separated from his uncle. After his first few excursions, he surprises himself by learning that his parents have vanished; they had gone looking for him and were ostensibly drowned at sea. Sinbad leaves Baghdad with no formal links in place and embarks on a new journey in quest of adventure. Together with Shera, Ali Baba, and Aladdin, Sinbad travels to several locations during the series. In addition to a large bird, enormous snakes, mermaids, genies, Lilliputians, and hostile magicians, they also run into a number of other unusual animals. He also interacts with other characters and performs tales from Arabian Nights, such as the Flying Horse, the Genie and the Merchant, or the Forty Thieves. In the end, after Sinbad defeats the evil magicians attempting to take his life, everyone he loves returns to him, including his uncle who has been kidnapped by an evil supreme sorceress and his missing parents.
