PLOT
Maika Sakuranomiya, 16, longs to be independent and is scrambling to find a part-time work so she can pay for an international education. Unfortunately, despite her generally happy nature, her applications are consistently turned down because of the frightening look she unwittingly gives whenever she smiles. She stumbles onto Café Stile, a coffee restaurant where the servers converse with the customers while simulating various qualities, after yet another unsuccessful interview. Dino, the Italian store manager, hires Maika as a cruel waitress after falling in love with her sweetness at first sight. She effectively serves a pair of masochistic customers while maintaining her new, vicious attitude despite her inherent clumsiness and newfound ruthlessness. Together with Mafuyu Hoshikawa, the younger sister, and Kaho Hinata, the tsundere, Maika aims to capitalize on her special quirk and solidify her place in the cafe with ruthless cruelty!
