PLOT
The improbable tale of high school student Kakeru Daichi, whose can of melon soda mysteriously changes into a human female, is told in Akikan ("Empty Can"). More "akikan" girls start to show up; in order to exist, each one requires the carbon dioxide from her own type of drink. The purpose of the 'Akikan Elect', which involved the creation of the akikans, was to decide whether steel or aluminum cans were better. The akikans must fight one another until only the most powerful type is left.
