PLOT
Young Keiichi Morisato unintentionally contacts an incorrect number while alone in his dorm room on a Saturday night (which is actually quite common). This mistake will literally transform his life. He unintentionally calls the Goddess Technical Help Line, and a goddess is sent to give him one wish as a result. He is told by the attractive young Belldandy that he is allowed to make one wish, and that wish can be for almost anything in the world. In disbelief, Keiichi chooses a request that he believes will defy the rules (and demonstrate that Belldandy has no special ability to grant wishes): he wishes that Belldandy will always be by his side. This request has such strength that it almost tears time and space apart, but it is ultimately granted. Of course, such a request has unintended effects, one of which is that Keiichi stays in a dorm that is exclusively for men. He is instantly cast out onto the street when his roommates come back and discover him with a woman on the premises. The request also has other unintended consequences, such as the spontaneous repair of a motorcycle so that Keiichi and Belldandy can travel together when their union is under danger.
