PLOT
Following her close friend Koito Nagase's suicide, junior high school student Ai Ohto is briefly absent from class in the anime series. Ai is led by an enigmatic voice on a late-night stroll to a deserted arcade where she discovers a gachapon machine that produces a "Wonder Egg." That evening, a girl is revealed as the Wonder Egg breaks open, and Ai is forced to defend her from a swarm of creatures known as "Seeno Evils" in this dream realm. Ai makes the decision to keep purchasing Wonder Eggs and safeguarding their residents after hearing the voice say that if she saves enough people in this world, Koito might return. Neiru Aonuma, Rika Kawai, and Momoe Sawaki are three other females she encounters along the road who are in a similar circumstance to her.
