PLOT
In dating sim games, at least, Keima Katsuragi—the fabled "God of Conquest"—can win over any girl's heart. As a result of his unhealthy obsession with video games, he prefers the two-dimensional realm of gaming to real life (a type of Japanese video game centered on interactions with attractive girls). Keima is duped into helping an innocent and impish demon from hell named Elucia "Elsie" de Lute Ima with her mission to gather rogue evil spirits who have escaped from hell and dispersed themselves throughout the human world when he arrogantly accepts an anonymous offer to prove his superiority at dating sim games. Keima learns that the only way to subdue these spirits is to win over the trait of three-dimensional ladies' hearts that he despises the most. Keima's role as the "God of Conquest," shackled to Elsie by a lethal collar, is now put to the ultimate test as he must make his way through the hearts of numerous real-life girls.
