PLOT
Two nearby nations are at war, but one side has an advantage: an old dragon that has signed an agreement to defend the country. Although these powerful beasts are capable of leveling vast battlefields, cavities render them ineffective. Therefore, taking care of the dragons' teeth is a crucial task assigned to a specialized team called the dragon dentists. In a recent round of recruitment, only one brave volunteer, Nonoko Kishii, made it out alive; in order to join the dragon dentists, one must witness their impending death and accept it without resistance. The dragon dentists devote themselves to their vocation knowing exactly how their lives would end. Bernard "Bel" Octavius, a young enemy officer killed by his own soldiers and regenerated by the dragon's teeth, joins them one day as a new member who skipped the exam. He is given Nonoko's attention as a student dentist even if his appearance portends a major catastrophe. Will Bel change her mind about the dragon dentists' views on dying and assist them in coping with the upcoming hardships?
