PLOT
Many generals engaged in a never-ending battle for control of the country and unification throughout the Sengoku Period in medieval Japan. Oda Nobunaga, the "Demon King of Owari," proven to be an excessive threat. Young warlords Date Masamune and Sanada Yukimura, who soon develop into bitter competitors, join forces with the other generals to overthrow the "devil king" in an unexpected alliance. The first series chronicles the ascent of the characters, in particular the major protagonists Masamune and Yukimura, and their conflict with Nobunaga, who aspires to subjugate the land and is prepared to annihilate anyone—including his own allies—in order to do so. He is defeated by Masamune and Yukimura in the end.
