PLOT
Ranma Saotome and his father Genma plunge into the cursed springs at Jusenkyo while on a training expedition in the Bayankala Mountain Range in the Qinghai Province of China. When exposed to cold water, those who are affected take on the physical form of whatever perished there hundreds or thousands of years ago. This physical shape reverts when exposed to hot water, but resumes when exposed to cold water. Ranma fell into a drowned girl's spring, while Genma fell into a drowned panda's spring.
