PLOT
The story centers on Bojji, a young prince who is deaf but above all innocent because, despite several complaints from his subjects regarding his ascension to the throne, he tries his best and aspires to be the greatest of monarchs. One day, despite Bojji's inability to talk owing to his condition, he runs upon Kage (Shadow), a survivor of a wiped-out assassin clan, who is able to hear what he is saying. The narrative follows the two as they make their way across the world, with all of its dangers and adventures. The death of Bojji's father, King Bosse, a legendary giant warrior who was once hailed as the strongest man in the world, serves as the opening act of the first story arc of the television series. Although Bosse affirms Bojji's title to the throne on his deathbed, some members of the royal court feel that Bojji's physical limitations make him unfit to reign and that his conceited (albeit physically capable) younger half-brother, Prince Daida, is better suited for the position. Queen Hilling, Bosse's widow and Daida's mother, is one of the most vocal opponents, calling for a vote to ignore Bosse's will and deny Bojji the opportunity to succeed. After the vote, Daida is seated on the throne.
