PLOT
Despite having quite different personalities, Peco and Smile, two high school students, have been pals since they were young. They are now both great players in the Katase High School table tennis club. Peco is soundly trounced by a Chinese pupil and is so heartbroken that he gives up training. Smile's personality, on the other hand, constantly hinders him from defeating Peco. However, Coach J recognizes Smile's potential and works to inspire him to go above his psychological barrier.
