Ayaka Kisaragi is a stunning woman who comes from a long line of exorcists in Japan. She nevertheless founded Phantom Quest Corp. after growing weary of their customs. The company is headquartered in Ayaka's cute tiny family house, which is tucked between tall buildings in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Ayaka employs incredibly unusual weaponry, such as a lipstick case that transforms into a laser sword and earrings that erupt into spiritual energy, in addition to the traditional wisdom she holds when fighting ghosts and demons. Even though she is quite skilled, Ayaka's poor habits (overindulging in sake, karaoke, and shopping binges) frequently deplete the company's modest profits and prevent her from paying the numerous experts on whose assistance she typically relies.
