PLOT
The location and storyline of Overman King Gainer are loose adaptations of Georges-Jean Arnaud's La Compagnie des glaces novel series. A large portion of the world's population relocated into dome cities named Domepolis after an environmental catastrophe. These cities are controlled by the "London IMA" (International Management Authority) and its police force, "Saint Regan." However, privatized businesses like the "Siberian Railroad Company" maintain and provide for the Domepoli. After several years since the catastrophe, many people now think that the environment has stabilized enough for people to start settling outside of Domepoli. As a result, some residents start making plans for Exoduses—departures from these cities and relocations to their ancient homelands. The loss of people would not only result in a loss in tax and trade revenue, but if the Exodus were to be successful, it would show the people that they were no longer dependent on the London IMA or the private firms for survival, which is not good for the London IMA or the private firms that monopolize trade between the Domepoli. They vehemently oppose any Exodus, propagandizing the harmful effects of Exoduses on the ecosystem of the Earth and employing military force to thwart any attempted Exodus.
