PLOT
Since ancient times, human civilisation has existed on the ocean floor thanks to the development of an underwater-friendly layer on their skins called Ena. The fact that so many people chose to relocate to land and establish a life above the surface marked a fundamental difference between the two. Four 14-year-old pupils from the maritime community of Shioshishio must attend Mihama Junior High School on land after Nami Junior High School closes. What happens next is their battle to cope with their newly discovered sensations that have only begun to surface with the end of their childhood, as well as the connections between the land and sea humans.
