PLOT
The space colony Angel is attacked and obliterated by an unknown force known only as "UE" or "Unknown Enemy" in A.G. 101 (the 101st year of the Advanced Generation calendar). This horrifying assault leads to the "One Hundred Years War" and earns the moniker "The Day the Angel Fell." The first episode of the story takes place when the UE invade the space colony Ovan, where Flit Asuno and his mother now reside after fleeing colony Angel just before it was destroyed. The UE injures Flit's mother fatally, but before she passes away, she hands her son the "AGE Device," which contains the designs for an effective weapon from the past—the ancient messiah known as "Gundam."
