PLOT
"Lost Universe" is a science fiction anime series from the creator of the "Slayers" series, Hajime Kanzaka. While it is not directly related to "Slayers," it is considered to be set in the same universe, but in a different timeline with a more science fiction focus instead of fantasy. The series revolves around the protagonist, Kane Blueriver, a "trouble contractor" who uses his spaceship, the Swordbreaker, to resolve issues and conflicts throughout the galaxy. Kane is a member of the ancient and powerful "Blade of the Light" family, who are the sworn enemies of "Dark Seeder," a syndicate that aims to control the universe.
