PLOT
The massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) Elder Tale has amassed a user base of millions of players by the time of its eleventh expansion pack and has achieved international success. Thirty thousand Japanese players who are logged in at the time of the update, however, find themselves abruptly transported into the virtual game world and donning their in-game avatars as the game's twelfth expansion pack, Homesteading the Noosphere, is released. A socially shy gamer named Shiroe and his pals Naotsugu and Akatsuki decide to band together in the midst of the incident so they may face this world, which has regrettably become their reality, as well as the difficulties and trials that lie ahead of them.
