PLOT
The Linebarrels of Iron tale takes place in a parallel universe in the year 2019, and it centers on Kouichi Hayase, a junior high school student who used to daydream about being a hero to escape his daily existence of being teased. During a field trip in 2016, a man-made satellite falls from space, altering his life forever. Kouichi was put into a coma for six months as a result of this "accident," and when he finally came to, he had acquired extraordinary abilities, including superhuman strength. A mysterious robot named "Linebarrel" materializes in front of him three years later. It is revealed that the three-year-old disaster was really the fault of the Machina robot Linebarrel, and that this transformed him into a "Factor," as Machina pilots are known to be. This brings him into contact with Emi Kizaki, a mystery female with amnesia whose unrecognized history appears to be connected to Linebarrel. He supports her in her fight for JUDA, the largest manufacturer of medical equipment in the world, which also happens to be the covert owner of numerous other Machina robots.
