PLOT
The plot opens in Paris, 1742, when the body of Lia de Beaumont, a woman, is discovered in a coffin floating along the Seine. [7] The word "Psalms," which is inscribed in blood on the casket lid, is the only indication of how she died. Younger brother D'Eon de Beaumont, a knight serving King Louis XV, decides to look into his sister Lia's tragic murder as well as several other odd disappearances of French ladies. He must retrieve the Royal Psalms, which are connected to his sister's strange murder and the case of the missing women, per the King of France's directive. He sets off on his quest to locate the Royal Psalms with the assistance of a young kid named Robin who has been given to him by the Queen, a man named Durand who was once his sister's coworker, and Teillagory, his former teacher. The four Musketeers travel through France, Russia, and England in an effort to get nearer to the Royal Psalms and the truth. They quickly learn, though, that they have a fifth person in their group. As they proceed along the Royal Psalms road, loyalty is put to the test.
