PLOT
The Bakumatsu era, when the Shogunate was nearing the end of its reign and conflict was looming, is the setting for the television series. The ornament on the end of Yojiro Akizuki's sword hilt waves in its direction, his eyes shine curiously, and he is impelled to pursue it when he is close to anything supernatural that is significant to him. He comes across a traveling theater troupe that is seeking retribution for the murder of the leader's parents and whose enigmatic writer enjoys subtly influencing historical events. As sinister plot continues to trail behind him, Yojiro joins them to lend them his expertise in combating their adversaries.
