PLOT
The series is set in Great Japan, an alternate history in which the Tokugawa shogunate was still in power and maintained a degree of isolation from the outside world following their defeat by American forces in World War II. The action of the novel takes place at Buou Academic School, a samurai training school for children of military families that is situated at the foot of Mount Fuji. The strong student council that controls the academy and Yukimura Sanada and Matabei Goto of the Toyotomi side are engaged in a power battle, and Muneakira Yagyu, the proprietor of the Yagyu Dojo, and the enigmatic Jubei Yagyu are thrust into the fray.
