PLOT
A hikikomori gamer named Takuma Sakamoto inexplicably travels to the virtual setting of his preferred MMORPG, Cross Reverie, when the Demon Lord Diablo, who is his own character in the game, appears. The pantherian Rem and the elf Shera, the two young girls who called him, cast a spell to make Takuma their servant, but because of his magic ring's "Magic Reflection" ability, the spell bounces back and both end up with magic collars fastened around their necks, becoming Takuma's servants instead. Takuma suffers from severe social anxiety, so he chooses to act like his character when he interacts with others. Takuma uses his high stats and extensive knowledge of Cross Reverie's lore to survive in his new environment, and he travels with Rem and Shera to look for a way to get rid of their slave collars while assisting them with the problems that initially prompted them to summon him.
