PLOT
"Haibane Renmei" is a thought-provoking anime series created by Yoshitoshi ABe. The story is set in a mysterious walled town and follows a group of characters known as the Haibane, who are born from cocoons in the likeness of young humans with no prior memories and small grey wings on their backs. The protagonist, Rakka, is a newly born Haibane. As she adjusts to her new life, she forms close relationships with other Haibane and learns about the world she lives in, including the strict rules the Haibane must follow. Over time, Rakka starts to ponder the meaning of the Haibane's existence and the mysteries of the world beyond the walls.
