PLOT
Makoto Mizuhara is sent to the lovely world of El Hazard together with his teacher, his fiercest opponent, and one of his female friends after he finds an old monument in his school and awakens a beautiful woman. They learn there that they have been given certain extraordinary abilities. A princess is saved from some giant bugs by Makoto and his teacher Fujisawa after they arrive in a jungle. Nanami, a friend of Makoto's, arrives in a desert. And Jinnai, Makoto's opponent, arrives in the center of the bug kingdom and takes over as their general, hatching a scheme to kill Makoto and his new companions. After repeatedly having Makoto repel his attacks, Jinnai discovers the existence of an ultimate weapon: the demon Ifurita. Everyone then sets out to find Ifurita, and when they do, Makoto discovers that she is the same person who tasked them with traveling to El Hazard. Jinnai, though, is taking power of her.
