PLOT
The territory of the ruthless samurai lord Daigo Kagemitsu is withering, and he would do anything to gain control, including deny Buddha and make a deal with demons. Twelve demons respond to his prayers and, in exchange for helping his empire expand, give him the power he seeks. The first kid of Kagemitsu is born without any limbs, a nose, eyes, ears, or even skin, but he continues to exist. This kid is abandoned and dumped in a river. However, as fate would have it, he is rescued by a medicine man who gives him weapons and prosthetics so he can survive and protect himself. Even though the boy cannot see, hear, or feel anything, he continues to develop and must battle the demons that used him as a sacrifice. He reclaims a little of himself that is rightfully his with the death of each one. He wanders alone for several years before becoming friends with Dororo, an orphan boy. The unusual duo of castaways now struggle to survive and maintain their humanity in a planet plagued by demons.
