PLOT
Nagi Kirima met Shinpei Kuroda, an undercover officer of the Towa organization, at the regional prefecture's hospital five years before to the events of Boogiepop Phantom. Nagi was admitted to the hospital because her body was evolving and she was dying. When Shinpei discovered the cause of Nagi's illness, he betrayed the Towa group and gave Nagi a stolen Towa medication, which saved her life. As he ran from the hospital, leaving the drug behind, he was fatally injured by Towa officers. After being attacked by More Murder, Touka Miyashita encountered Shinpei as the Towa Agent Scarecrow, and the psychological stress of seeing the dying man led to the creation of her Boogiepop identity.
