PLOT
In the Demon World, Staz is a formidable vampire boss that controls a region. He would rather enjoy the Japanese otaku lifestyle of reading manga, watching anime, and playing video games than feed on humans like his vampire ancestors did. He is pleased when Fuyumi Yanagi, a regular Japanese high school student, unintentionally enters the Demon World through a portal one day. The initial encounter between the two is disrupted when a demon attacks and challenges his domain. Fuyumi is slain by a carnivorous plant and transformed into a ghost when Staz tries to stop the demon. Staz feels responsible and promises to assist in resurrecting her. They discover when they enter the portal that Fuyumi must consume Staz's blood in order to stay alive. They encounter Hydra Bell, a treasure hunter who tells that her power to open and close the portal was taken and that they require the Book of Resurrection in order to restore Fuyumi.
