PLOT
Chiyo Mihama, a little 10-year-old academic genius who enjoys plush dolls and making her own food, starts her high school career as one of the oddest kids in her freshman class. However, "weird" is a relative term because her homeroom teacher, Yukari Tanizaki, is the type of person who would steal a student's bike in order to avoid being late. There are definitely many odd girls in Yukari-homeroom sensei's class. Students like Sakaki, a tall, athletic beauty whose threatening looks conceal a soft personality and a severe fixation with cats, Tomo Takino, an enthusiastic tomboy with more excitement than intellect, and Koyomi Mizuhara, Tomo's best friend, are there with Chiyo. Ayumu Kasuga, a transfer student with her head in the clouds, blends perfectly in with the other girls and has some intriguing views about Chiyo's pigtails. Together, this beautiful group of girls navigates the highs and lows of adolescence. Their various escapades are marked by nonstop laughing, crazy ridiculousness, and occasionally, meaningful reflection on the bittersweet, temporary nature of high school.
