PLOT
On the verge of extinction, humanity has shrunk and is now limited to the city-state of Flandore, where people live in glass-domed cities. Violent lycanthropes that thrive in the dark exist beyond the domes; among the inhabitants inside, there is a clear division between nobility and commoners. They can use mana thanks to their noble blood, which gives them superhuman abilities that significantly help them combat lycanthropes. Noble Melida Angel, who is now 13 years old, attends a selective school where she is bullied since she has not yet developed her mana. The Angel family commands Kufa Vampir to serve as Melida's tutor in order to help her. Although Kufa appears to be just a mentor, he actually has a secret agenda: if he can prove that she doesn't have mana, he's supposed to kill her. Ultimately, Kufa's inquiry leads him to the conclusion that Melida must be killed. When Kufa sees her engaged in combat, he is inspired by her unshakable determination, spirit, and self-confidence and decides to propose a method for her to use her magic instead. In order to keep his discovery of Melida a secret from the Angel family and his own guild, Kufa abandons his purpose and risks everything while Melida learns to manage mana with the assistance of his teachings. Kufa and Melida will quickly learn, though, that keeping their secret will not be their only obstacle to overcome because an unexpected disaster is hiding just around the corner.
