"Double Circle" is a web anime series produced by Toshiba in collaboration with several other companies, released in 2013. The anime is centered around the concept of "energy," and it's set in Kawasaki City, a place aiming for a zero-emission society. The "Double Circle" refers to the community's infinite cycle of energy usage and energy creation. The series follows the lives of several characters who are members of a community-based organization known as the "Double Circle." Each member has a unique ability or a transformative power. These characters include Akane, a woman with the power of wind; Tama, a shrine maiden with the power of water; Gaba, an android with the power of fire; Sosuke, an old man with the power of the earth; and Izumi, a businesswoman with the power of electricity.
