The third season was confirmed recently and will be out by the spring of 2024!

The results of the Kitauji High School Wind Ensemble's second year feel underwhelming to the entire club after their outstanding performance in Oumae Kumiko's first year. Their participation finishes with what is described as a "dud gold" at the Kansai tournament: a gold medal that does not involve being selected to advance to the national competition. They had hoped to win a gold medal at the national competition. The ensemble's seniors retire at the end of the cycle, and a new leadership takes over; Kumiko, who will soon be a senior herself, is named the new club president. Now it's up to her to carry Kitauji to the Nationals once more under the direction of their teacher Taki Noboru and aid the band in winning the gold medal they've been aiming for.

The third season of the series, Hibike! Euphonium: Kumiko 3 Nensei-hen (Sound! Euphonium 3), will debut in 2024, it was announced at the Uji de Omatsuri Festival event. The occasion also revealed Ensemble Contest-hen, an original video anime, which will debut in Japanese cinemas and be released in 2023.

The manga was transformed by Kyoto Animation into two 13-episode television anime seasons in the spring of 2015 and the fall of 2016.
