The most well-known figure skating anime's movie was confirmed back in 2022, and is being produced as we are writing this!

YURI!!! On ICE is the most well-known figure skating anime, and a highlight of the sports anime genre in general. It stands up on other well-known sports animes. 

And its finally getting its own movie! There are no official announcements on release date or the cast yet but it is expected to be announced soon! The movie will be a completly new story for the franchise, the plot for the movie is not known yet.
