Netflix just announced that a new Gamera project is being produced!

The official Twitter account for Netflix Japan has confirmed that a new Gamera-based project called Gamera: Rebirth is currently in the works. Netflix has yet to confirm whether the new project will be a film or a television series, but because the teaser visual was also released by Kadokawa's official YouTube channel alongside Netflix, fans are speculating that it will be an anime adaptation of the giant fire-breathing turtle kaiju.

The series will focus on Gamera facing off against five different Kaiju. Sadly there is no official release date or any information about the cast yet, but it is expected to be announced soon!
