The ambush takes place and Kanu falls off the boat, with Ekitoku pursuing her. The rest are captured, but Bachou and Chuukou escape, while Ekitoku pulls Kanu to shore, but Kanu is blinded and as a result of being unable to fight the two are captured due to Ekitoku's injuries.
