After Shōko faints in her anemic condition, Kōyō Kasugai visits her in the nurse's office, and Kazuki and Maya later come by as well. As the Neo UN fleet approaches the island, it is suddenly attacked by a Festum. Kazuki prepares to face the Festum while concurrently saving the fleet. A second Festum breaches the security of the island and begins to attack the pilots.
