Meanwhile, in the Morning Chronicle, Ralph and the owner of the newspaper show Willy Fog a series of illustrations of ships sunk by a supposed sea monster that has been causing serious catastrophes in recent days. Willy Fog decides to go to the shipyards on the Thames to study on the ground the damage caused by the 'monster' on a recently arrived ship, but not before stopping by the railway station to say goodbye to his friends.
