The Red Lanterns plan to detonate the planet and Hal and the others work with the Betrassan resistance. Meanwhile, Ganthet is exiled from the Guardians when he tries to convince Appa Ali Apsa to reveal the truth behind the Red Lanterns' hatred of the Guardians. Before he can be banished, however, Sayd retrieves him and helps him enact an experimental weapon -a Blue Lantern, powered by hope.
